On behalf of the International Society for Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization (ISSMO), we are pleased to announce that the 8th World Congress on Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization (WCSMO-8) will be held at the LNEC Conference Centre in Lisboa, Portugal during June 1-5, 2009.
The main objectives of this Congress are to identify new areas and promote research into all aspects of structural and multidisciplinary optimization, including engineering systems consisting partially of structures and/or fluids, and to encourage practical applications of optimization methods and corresponding software development in all branches of science and technology.
Contributions are invited in all fields of structural and multidisciplinary optimization.
