Dear colleague, on behalf of the LSAME.08 board I'd like to inform you on below event in Leuven, which has a dual focus on the use of Trefftz based methods in engineering, and on non-deterministic numerical modelling techniques. Both may be of interest to the REASON community.
Best regards

DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION: 1 SEPTEMBER 2007
Dear Colleague,
It is our pleasure to announce the Leuven Symposium on Applied Mechanics in Engineering LSAME.08, which will take place in Leuven (Belgium), 31 March - 2 April 2008.
This symposium is dedicated to state-of-the-art developments in the world of applied mechanics in engineering. It focuses on two specific domains of numerical modelling in applied mechanics. The Trefftz.08 conference is devoted to the application of Trefftz based methods in engineering. The NDM.08 conference concentrates on the application of non-deterministic numerical modelling techniques, with specific focus on applied mechanics and engineering.
Authors are invited to submit 1 page abstracts by 1 September 2007 using the submission procedure on the symposium website:
www.mech.kuleuven.be/lsame08. In order to obtain an interesting mix of theoretical and applied presentations and posters, both academic and industrial contributions are within the scope of the symposium.
Both NDM.08 and Trefftz.08 will be freely accessible for all LSAME.08 participants. Practical details concerning the symposium venue, program and accommodation can be found on the website.
Important dates:
