Hello All The efficient utilization of computational resources is an excellent concept. The item of interest would be site dependent IT security. It would be good to know if IT security wrt data exchange as well as file exchange can be done within the security rules at the individual sites. In Industry this is an item of interest but can be handled thru appropriate communication and a specific location identified for the same. How is this handled in a consistent basis would be of interest.
Thanks Nagendra

Hi Nagendra,
Even something simple as file exchange is a complex issue in data centers and Intranets because industry is not consistent ion how computational resources are secured.
In general, OpenSSH (ssh, scp, sftp) is one standard package that is used for remote communication on UNIX, Linux, OSX, and Windows systems. However, its use must also consider network security, e.g., firewalls, as well as user security, e.g., LDAP.
The use of computational grids offers more than simple file exchange, has the potential for higher computational utilization, and allows for grid administration. There are multiple grid implementations, so consistent use of grids is a problem.
